Operation and Maintenance of POL NATO North Italian Pipeline System

The POL NATO North Italian Pipeline System is a network of pipeline about 900 km long, that includes:

• a marine terminal;
• storage areas for petroleum products;
• oil pipeline;
• fuel pumping and transfer stations;
• facility service buildings;
• civil works;

in order to supply aviation fuel to the main Italian military bases.

IG O&M S.p.A. has managed the Operation and Maintenance of the System for many years. The main activities of Contract are:

• Taking charge and delivery of petroleum products;
• Fuel management and handling;
• Ordinary (pigging, tank cleaning, etc.) and extraordinary maintenance;
• First intervention (emergency situation);
• Telemetry and SCADA;
• Management of spare parts;
• Technical services in support of the Operation;
• Staff Training;
• Custody of areas and security;
• Project Management;
• Engineering services and execution of works for the upgrade of the system.
