IG OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE S.p.A. participated in collaboration with the University of Bologna – Alma Mater Studiorum and the firm

GST MANAGEMENT SERVICES TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L. in a group of research for a new invention relating to a process for the production of a mixture usable as bio-jet fuel starting from C2-C4 alcohols, such as ethanol and butanol or their mixtures, and the related plant in which metallic copper is used as a catalyst on a zirconia support.

The invention led to the filing of a patent, both national and international, in 2022.
